What does it mean to “Be the Church?”

Often times we think of the church as the four walls, our pastor as the disciple and ourselves as the attenders. But what if we took the limitation off this word and explored it’s full potential; OUR full potential.

“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds, and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God”
—Ephesians 4:11-13

Church is not a building, it’s a mandate.
Being the Church means being the saints, the messengers, that go beyond our comfort zones and carry God’s truth out into the world! Uniting with others through relationship and unifying together as
Sons and Daughters.
For as we’ve been given the gift of salvation, we must GO and tell of the good news.

Let’s reach the world together,

  1. You know…our way of behaving, talking, and dressing also let’s others know that we are different…set apart..Christians. Also I agree with that statistic, I’m a born again believer but I don’t go to church and haven’t in 15 years. I love Jesus and I have a personal relationship with Him but it’s hard to find a good church that preaches sound doctrine instead of good feely churches like Hillsong. Most churches in America are copies of Hillsong which is why I don’t attend. I hope to find one.
